When neophyte friends ask me where to start in visiting Asia I always recommend Thailand. It is true, you won’t get the “Indiana Jones” feeling that Cambodia can gift, or you will not be the only tourist in the city like could happen in Myanmar, but Thailand can offer you a mix of very good services, friendly people and a lot of attractions in a rather small country that is going to make you want more of Southeast Asia.

Bangkok is the capital city of the nation and even if - I can assure you - it will not be the best place you will visit here, it is worth three days of your trip.

‍

You will probably land in the International airport of the city, so if you are not super tired you can start exploring in the evening. Nothing better than a pad thai to start your trip, and you will find the best one at Thip Samai! The “restaurant” is just fifteen minutes walking from the famous and infamous Khao San Road, so if you are in the mood you can direct there after dining.

‍

Enjoy starting your second day with a big breakfast before getting in line for the riverboat at Chao Praya Express Boat stop. This ferry will take you along the river through all the day and it is the perfect way to reach the Imperial Palace, the Wat Arun and the Wat Pho Temple. Here you will have the chance to try a thai massage of the temple school - having anything less than an hour will make you regret your decision! Finish your day with a luxury dinner at Lebua State Tower, you really deserve one of the best views in all Thailand. After dinner, have a drink or two at the Sky Bar - one of the highest rooftop bars in the world.

On your third day in the vibrant Bangkok make sure you are wearing some comfortable shoes. Alway remember to carry some flip flops with you: if it did not rain yet, it will for sure soon! Visiting India can take a lifetime, but if it is the first time you are in the continent we suggest to take at least two weeks of time and to try not to rush your trip.

You can start your journey in Delhi, the capital city and one of the most connected airport, where you can spend a day visiting the Old Delhi and the Red Fort. After a refreshing shower, do not miss a good massage at end your day!

Your next destination is Agra, where is essential to spend at least two nights in order to visit the marvelous Taj Mahal at the sunrise, the Little Taj just after that and the gardens at the sunset. This is also the right place to find some delicate new piece of furniture made of engraved marble. Fatepur Sikri is just on the way from Agra to Jaipur, and few hours visiting the ancient site is a no-regretting experience before arriving in the world capital of gems.

Jaipur, known for his amazing monuments like the Hawa Mahal, the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar, the Water Palace and the Amber Fort will take at least two days of your trip. We really suggest to start with the Hana Mahal, the residence of the wives of the maraja. Then, continue with the City Palace and the Amber Fort. We know the fort requires a long walk to arrive in, but please do not exploit the poor elephants that people will offer you! If you want to treat yourself, you should instead buy yourself a ruby or a sapphire in one of the jewelries in the Old City!

At this point of your trip you will have quite a culture of the Moghul and Indu monuments and it is time to see one of the other hundreds facets of the Indian diamond.

Take a flight from Jaipur airport to Mumbai, the hectic megapolis of the center of the continent. Here you will spend three days visiting the Old Island of Elephanta, the colonial Central Station and Gate of India, the biggest open air launderers in the world and one of the most luxurious hotel of the globe: the Taj Mahal Palace. Even if you are not staying here, we recommend to stop for an English tea in the oldest bar of India!

One of the prettiest and our fav spots in Austria is definitely Salzburg.

It is one of the most picturesque towns you will ever see, with a unique Bavarian vibe in its streets, internal gardens and castle. The views from the mountains surrounding the city are incredibly stunning and relaxing - it the perfect destination for a tranquil weekend to recharge yourself.

Day 1

Start your day with a visit to the city center. The city is divided by the Salzach River with medieval and baroque buildings of the pedestrian Old City on its left bank and the 19th-century New City on its right. The Old City Center is very cute for a stroll around as it is built around small and typical squares, alleys and boutiques.

Have a bite out or a brunch at 220 GRAD - a healthy lunch spot with cozy interiors, for avo toast lovers and coffee addicts.

In the afternoon keep on exploring the city center by having a stroll by the river and around the famous gardens of Schloss Mirabell Palace - which are probably one of the most iconic Salzburg landmarks.

For dinner our fav spot is Glass Garden located in the Hotel Schloss Mönchstein. The gourmet restaurant has a breathtaking view of Salzburg through a wide panorama window front. Installed in the center of the restaurant is an artistically designed hand-blown glass sculpture entitled “Chrysolite Aqua Tower” by the American artist Dale Chihuly.

For your night we advise to stay in a Austrian-classic - the Hotel Sacher. It has a very central location overlooking the river and the castle. Opened in 1866, the privately owned Hotel Sacher Salzburg is a grand, historic hotel which combines timeless elegance and tradition with highest standard of service.

Day 2

Start-off your second day paying a visit to Hohensalzburg Fortress, which sits atop a small hill in the Austrian city.  It is one of the largest medieval castles in Europe at an altitude of more than 500 m. By visiting the fortress you will appreciate the amazing view on the city and on the surrounding mountains and valleys - it is a very picturesque setting and panorama.

Keep enjoying the panorama in the afternoon by paying a visit to the Museum der Moderne, located on the top of another hill around the city. With an amazing view of the town, the museum offers unique modern and contemporary art exhibits and it has a cafe where you can have some lunch, coffee or afternoon tea with a view.

Day 1

Start-off your Milan itinerary with a visit to the Fondazione Prada, one of the pillars for modern and contemporary art in the Italian landscape. Have a cappuccino and a brioche at their Bar Luce. Designed by the American film director Wes Anderson in 2015, Bar Luce recreates the atmosphere of a typical Milanese cafè. The café is located at the entrance building of Fondazione Prada. The range of colors, the formica furniture, the seats, the floor, and the wood wall panels are reminiscent of Italian popular culture and aesthetics from the 1950s and 1960s.

After your visit, take a Uber to the city center and have a light lunch at LùBar, an institution in Milan. Enjoy the relaxed and lush environment for a Sicilian-inspired lunch in this tranquil setting. Enjoy this sophisticated gem with a an Italian lunch or a brunch classics. After LùBar, have a walk in the area around and wonder between upscale shops, art galleries and fashion boutiques of Brera. Do not forget to pay a visit to 10 Corso Como, the iconic shop and cafe funded by gallerist and fashion publisher Carla Sozzani.

In Milan aperitivo hour is the best hour of the day - for a classy yet traditional aperitivo our fav gem is Bar Martini in the Dolce&Gabbana shop. As for a table in their indoor patio to have the best spot in the house! For dinner time we choose for you a great Italian-inspired restaurant that combines great food with unique cocktails and drinks, called Penelope A Casa. It has an elegant, yet homey and colorful vibes.

Our fav choice to sleep for art and design lovers is definitely Straf Hotel. You will love its minimal elegance and its incredibly central location overlooking the Duomo. For a more elegant and fancy stay our choice is the Armani Hotel. You cannot go wrong with any of those!

Day 2

Start your second day with a stroll in Parco Sempione, which is Milan's Central Park. Admire the medieval castle that overlooks the park and arrive to your lunch spot! A Milan classic for an easy bite our or lunch on a Sunday is def Temakinho. There are many in the city, we advise you to choose Temakinho Magenta as it is in the perfect location for our itinerary. However, if you would like to wander around the city you can find others in different areas such as Brera and Navigli. Order some of their Brazilian-inspired rolls and in a tropical setting.

Your next stop is Mudec, a restored factory that is now a sleek museum of art and culture with rotating innovative exhibitions. A part from offering a very wide programme of events and visits, it is one of the most instagrammable spots in the city.

Your dinner spot is one of the most romantic, cozy spots, Al Fresco. It is an airy restaurant in an old factory with country garden tables, serving Modern Italian cuisine. It also has an outdoor garden and patio that is open with good and warm weather allowing to have a delicious meal while surrounded by a beautiful garden. It is one of the most unique spots in the city and def one of our favourites!

1st DAY - VENICE

Start off your road trip by exploring Venice, one of the must-dos in the country. Do not let the crowds scare you. If you are an art lover start with some cultural hidden gems in the city, such as the Gallerie dell’Accademia (the biggest collection of Venetian art in the world and one of the biggest collection of Leonardo's drawings including the Vitruvian Man) and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.

Food-wise you should have an aperitivo, a must when in Venice. Our top picks are the Harry’s Bar, where you should order their iconic Bellini, or one of the typical bacari where you could have the Venitian-style aperitivo with tapas-like food called chicchetti. Our fav spot to have a typical Venetian aperitivo is at Ae Forcoe.

For dinner you should try one of our favourites for Italian food: Ristorante Wistèria, El Magazen or Trattoria Antiche Carampane. If you want something more fancy choose Amo Alajmo or Ristorante Quadri.

Sleep at Aman Venice, the Gritti Palace or at Palazzina Grassi - all magical spots to have - we are sure - one of the best nights of your life.

2nd DAY - VENICE —> FLORENCE

Your first day in the car will start from Venice and end up in Florence. Your first recommended stop is Padua, a town not far from Venice. It’s known for the frescoes by Giotto in its Scrovegni Chapel and the vast 13th-century Basilica of St. Anthony. You should have a walk in its charming city center and have a stop at the Pedrocchi cafe, a city institution.

Your second stop will be Bologna, where you are going to be in food-paradise. Have a typical piadina or many tigelle with local hams and cheese accompanied with a glass of wine: one of the best spots there is 051, located in the heart of the city and in one of the most picturesque streets.

Once arrived in Florence, sleep at St. Regis Florence for a fancy stay or at the Relais Piazza Signoria, which has an amazing location in Piazza della Signoria.

3rd DAY - FLORENCE

Explore Florence with a stroll at the Giardino dei Boboli. For fashion lovers, we recommend a visit to the Gucci Museum and to the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi - watch out for temporary exhibitions there.

For lunch you should eat a focaccia and try local ham and cheese. Our fav spots to eat dinner are Gurdulù, Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura or Regina Bistecca.

For sunset lovers, a walk in Piazzale Michelangelo during sunset hour is a must - it is crowded but worth it.

4th DAY - TUSCAN COUNTRYSIDE

After having visited Florence, exploring the Tuscan countryside will be your next stop. Wander around the most picturesque and postcard-perfect towns of San Gimignano, Volterra and Montepulciano. Get inspired by the moment and stop for a picture (or two!) in these amazing locations, but do not miss a visit to Siena, which is distinguished by its medieval brick buildings. Visit its fan-shaped central square, Piazza del Campo, and stroll around the city’s 17 historic contrade (districts).

Spend the night in one of the countryside relais in the area (our fav is Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco) or if you prefer to sleep in the city choose a cozy and small hotel in Siena city center.

5th DAY - TUSCANY —> ROME

Your next day on-the-road will end up in Rome. We advise to stop in Orvieto and visit its picture-perfect Duomo, have a stroll and a bite to eat.

Once you arrive in Rome we advise to stay in one of our favs: Palazzo Manfredi with its beautiful Colosseum view, G-Rough with its decadent yet classy vibes, or Fendi Private Suites, located in a Roman Palazzo in the Fendi maison.

6th DAY - ROME

It's Rome day! Rome is a unique city and so much is to explore and see. If it is your first time there, do not miss the must-dos like a visit to the Colosseum and the Fori. Also, a visit to the Domus Aurea will amaze you - it is a very unique gem, often under-discovered.

Talking of unique gems, you must have an aperitivo (or drinks) with a unique Colosseum view at The Court in Palazzo Manfredi. Food-wise, in Rome you cannot go wrong: our favourites for the best Roman food in the city are Trattoria Sora Lella, Virginiae or Tonnarello.

For a fancy decadent dinner, choose Enoteca La Torre which is a Michelin-starred restaurant located in a Roman Palazzo - enjoy their 5-course menu to explore unique Italian flavours with a modern touch.

Conclude your nights at Sacripante Gallery, where you can enjoy some drinks in a artistic and exclusive location - check out for events and exhibitions! Also Club Derrière is a good spot to have unique cocktails and creations.

7th DAY - ROME —> POSITANO

From Rome your next stop will be one of the most famous hill-top villages in the world - Positano. Before arriving to your destination, we have some things planned for you!

A must-do is definitely Pompeii where you can have a walk and a visit. Pompeii is a city overlooked and buried by the still active volcano Vesuvius in a 79 A.D. eruption

After your visit, a 40-minutes drive will take you to Positano where you are going to spend the night. You should stay in one of these gems: Le Sirenuse (our top pick), Hotel Poseidon, Hotel Eden Suites or Hotel Marincanto. All of them are in the center of Positano and have unique views of the sea and of the hill-top village. They are all immersed in the magical and colorful vibe of the city and offer a very traditional yet classy experience.

8th DAY - POSITANO

Today will be dedicated to explore Positano and its surroundings, the area called Amalfi coast.

Known as the most chic and trendy village in area, Positano is a cliffside fishermen village in the South of Naples. It is a well-known holiday destination with a pebble beachfront and steep, narrow streets lined with boutiques and cafes. Nowadays, it is definitely a place to see in your Italian holiday: it will be crowded but this will not make it less charming. Colorful, lively and traditional, Positano has an incredible vibe characterized by the Mediterranean vegetation and majolica houses.

You should have a walk in the colorful town and experience a limoncello tasting. If you are in the mood for some brunch/lunch the place for you is Casa e Bottega. For aperitivo you should go for Aldo’s Bar and for a fancy dinner choose La Sponda.

If you decide to stay a few more days in the area - which we totally recommend - you can visit the surrounding towns in the coast such as Amalfi and Sorrento. All of them reachable by car and very near to Positano. You can also goto Capri for the day by ferry or boat. If you rent your own boat make sure to have a private tour of the coast and visit the Faraglioni and the caves all around.

Imagine being surrounded by lavender fields and vineyard on a convertible with your loved one in a warm sunny day of Mid July: this is what it is to be in Provence. As one of the most charming and worldwide famous regions in South of France, Provance is the perfect romantic destination to have a luxurious but low-key holiday. Definitely more quiet and peaceful than the dazzling and chaotic Riviera, Provence is the perfect destination for a summer escape. Are you ready for romance? On y’va!

Day 1

The first day will start in Uzès where you can rent a car or use your own. Exploring Provence by car is definitely the best way as the journey most of the times is more beautiful than the destination. You will be surrounded by amazing landscapes and views at all times, so watch out for cute spots in which you can stop and admire the landscape.

The first stop, Uzès, is a small town and a commune in the Gard department in southern France. On Saturdays there is the weekly market where you can experience the typical atmosphere of the village - so if you are thinking of starting this road trip on a weekend, having a stroll in Uzès on a Saturday morning will make you experience the real and typical vibe of Provence. Uzès is the perfect place to start your romantic trip as it transmits the real atmosphere that you are looking for: the small alleys, the alternative boutiques and the typical cafes and bistros.

Have some lunch here at La Table d'Uzès, super classy starred restaurant in La Maison d'Uzès, a charming 5-stars boutique hotel with an incredible architecture in an historical monument.

After having had a stroll in Uzès your next stop will be Pont du Gard. With just a small drive you will arrive in this world-wide famous landmark, an Ancient Roman aqueduct bridge with an incredible view on the river Gardon. The visit is definitely worth it as you will be able to have a walk and experience the incredible majesty of this landmark.

After Pont du Gard your next stop will be Avignon, which is a bigger city compared to all the small villages that you will see. From 1309 to 1377, Avignon was the seat of the Catholic popes which left the city with a huge Medieval palace. After having a walk and a snack in one of the many cafes, it is time for to go to the location of your first night - Castillon du Gard.

Castillon du Gard is a medieval village with pretty alleyways that wind their way between houses made of golden stone. You will find strolling along these charming façades a most pleasant experience. For your first night we chose one of our favourites in the area, Le Vieux Castillon, an upscale hotel in a Renaissance building. Enjoy a swim in their pool with a breath-taking view and a romantic dinner in their restaurant. If you are a spa lover, their spa by L'Occitane is your place to be!

Day 2

Start your morning with some breakfast and then it is time to get back on-the-road! Oppède will be your next stop, which is one of the many hilltop villages - or villages-perchés. The quiet, romantic and charming atmosphere of these small towns will make you fall in love all over again. Oppède is a magnificent little village built high on a rocky outcrop and surrounded by lush vegetation.

To visit Oppede Le Vieux, leave your car in the carpark at the base of the village before following the picturesque path up the hill. You will be enchanted by this historic town which has so much to offer: a 12th-century collegiate church which dominates the skyline, the ruins of an ancient chateau and the remains of historic workshops and boutiques.

The last stop of the day will be Gordes - just in time for sunset! Gordes is probably the most well-known hilltop village in the region, and with a reason! The amazing view on the vineyards, the lavender fields and the countryside will amaze you, as well as the typical atmosphere that will surround you. Here you will also find a bigger and more international crowd but do not let this stop the vibe: Gordes is definitely one of the most romantic villages in France! Our recommendation is to have a walk in the village and stay the night in Gordes at La Bastide de Gordes. You will be able to enjoy the sunset hour having a drink (…or two!) by the pool and to have a gourmet dinner with a breathtaking view.

Day 3

The third day will start in Gordes, where you had a romantic dinner and night. In the morning you can decide to explore some more the city, enjoy the sun and the pool, or start directly with your itinerary. According to your preferences, we advice to have a visit in two other villages-perchés: Roussillon and Bonnieux. Among all of them, these two have definitely a unique charm that make them worth a visit. You can decide to stroll around or just pass by with the car - let yourself be inspired by the moment. The road will be very picturesque as well so feel free to explore and stop whenever you want.

The main activity of the day will be to visit Valensole, which is probably the most well-known destination to see the lavender fields. The best moment for the visit is - as advised - Mid-July as at this time the lavender fields will look at their best. The drive will take approximately 1 hour from Bonnieux and it will be really charming. The picturesque town of Valensole is surrounded by a huge plateau of lavender fields covering approximately 800 square/km, which makes it the biggest area in France devoted to growing lavender. At this moment of the year many tours are organized, but we advice to stop anywhere you will see less crowds and take a self-organized tour, which will definitely be more private and romantic.

Oppède is a magnificent little village built high on a rocky outcrop and surrounded by lush vegetation.

To visit Oppede Le Vieux, leave your car in the carpark at the base of the village before following the picturesque path up the hill. You will be enchanted by this historic town which has so much to offer: a 12th century collegiate church which dominates the skyline, the ruins of an ancient chateau and the remains of historic workshops and boutiques.

The last stop of the day will be Gordes - just in time for sunset! Gordes is probably the most well-known hill-top village in the region, and with a reason! The amazing view on the vineyards, the lavender fields and the countryside will amaze you, as well as the typical atmosphere that will surround you. Here you will also find a bigger and more international crowd but do not let this stop the vibe: Gordes is definitely one of the most romantic villages in France! Our recommendation is to have a walk in the village and stay the night in Gordes at La Bastide de Gordes. You will be able to enjoy the sunset hour having a drink (…or two!) by the pool and to have a gourmet dinner with a breathtaking view.

Day 3

The third day will start in Gordes, where you had a romantic dinner and night. In the morning you can decide to explore some more the city, enjoy the sun and the pool, or start directly with your itinerary. According to your preferences, we advice to have a visit in two other villages-perchés: Roussillon and Bonnieux. Among all of them, these two have definitely a unique charm that make them worth a visit. You can decide to stroll around or just pass by with the car - let yourself be inspired by the moment. The road will be very picturesque as well so feel free to explore and stop whenever you want.

The main activity of the day will be to visit Valensole, which is probably the most well-known destination to see the lavender fields. The best moment for the visit is - as advised - Mid-July as at this time the lavender fields will look at their best. The drive will take approximately 1 hour from Bonnieux and it will be really charming. The picturesque town of Valensole is surrounded by a huge plateau of lavender fields covering approximately 800 square/km, which makes it the biggest area in France devoted to growing lavender. At this moment of the year many tours are organized, but we advice to stop anywhere you will see less crowds and take a self-organized tour, which will definitely be more private and romantic.

London can definitely be overwhelming to visit in a weekend. If you love art, fashion and beautiful things and you want to have a classy 48 hours in the city here the perfect and curated guide for you. Whether you are a Londoner or it is the first time you explore the city, you will find this itinerary useful if you like to do unconventional things and you are an art addict.

Day 1

The first day will start with a walk in one of our favorite streets in the city, New Bond Street. Do not let the big crowd scare you: New Bond Street is the place to be if you want to look at some art. There are many unique art galleries such as Eden Fine Art, Ben Brown Fine Art or Maddox Gallery and auction houses such as Sotheby’s and Bonhams where there are occasional temporary exhibitions or auctions - so,watch out for temporary events because you may find very unique things happening. Among the many art galleries you will also find some shopping inspiration and high-end boutiques.

After the art time in New Bond Street, it is time for some lunch. The place-to-go in the area is definitely Brasserie of Light, whether you are searching for light lunch, a brunch with friends or a complete gastronomic meal. The dazzling and unique brasserie is located within Selfridges, one of London’s most famous department store. If you are in the mood for some more shopping, Selfridges is the place for you!

With a 10-minutes walk from the Brasserie of Light you will arrive to the Wallace Collection. The Wallace Collection is a national museum which displays the wonderful works of art collected in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries by the first four Marquesses of Hertford and Sir Richard Wallace. It was bequeathed to the British nation by Sir Richard's widow, Lady Wallace, in 1897. At the Wallace Collection you can admire Fragonard’s ‘The Swing’ among other unique 18th and 19th century’s art in a classical setting. The Wallace Collection is definitely a hidden cultural gem in the city that is for the true art lovers a real paradise.

A visit to London cannot exist without having an afternoon tea. Our choice in the area is the old-but-gold Fortnum and Mason's Afternoon Tea, which will give you the real afternoon tea experience that you expect. You will be seated in a pale green Edwardian-style salon on Fortnum and Mason's 4th floor, which is a classical and traditional destination for an elegant and classy experience. For a more contemporary Afternoon Tea experience you might want to chose Thomas' at the Burberry shop near Regent Street. Always classy and luxurious, you will have a less traditional experience of the afternoon tea in a modern and classy setting.

Our dinner recommendation is the The Gallery at Sketch. Entering in Sketch is something between entering a fairy-tale world and being part of a theatre performance. The atmosphere is surreal, playful and irreverent, and you will definitely ask yourself if you suddenly entered in Alice in Wonderland. Dinner at the pink and lavish tearoom, The Gallery, is a real unique experience: from the incredible wine-list to the unconventional menu and plates. After your dinner we recommend to have a cocktail (or many!) at one of the unique other rooms at Sketch such as the Parlour or the Glade - we won’t go into further details as we will leave you discover the incredible world of Sketch by yourself!

Day 2

The second day will start in one of our favorite neighborhoods: Notting Hill.

Notting Hill is the perfect spot for a quiet, alternative and artsy brunch. In the area there are some of the most famous spots in the whole town: Ganger and Co, Daylesford or Farm Girl are all good options for a Sunday (or all-days!) brunch or a gram-friendly breakfast. Notting Hill and its famous colorful houses is the perfect spot for a stroll: our advice is to walk till Holland park, just 10-15 minutes away.

Holland park is one of the best spots for a quick jog, a relaxing walk or a museum visit, as it is where the Design Museum is located. If you did not have enough of art-related content or if you are just a design lover we recommend to have a look at the Design Museum’s temporary or permanent displays.

Your next step will be our favorite art, design and fashion museum in London, the V&A. We recommend taking one of London’s iconic buses or cabs to get there, it won’t be a long ride. At the V&A you can enjoy any kind of arts and crafts collection: our favorites are the fashion collection, the architecture and design collection and the Japanese art collection.

Not far from the V&A - just 10 minutes on foot - there is Harrods, probably the most famous department store in the world. Harrods is an old-favorite of ours as it can make anyone happy. You just have to pick your poison: if you need a snack we recommend Harrods Food, or if you want to spoil yourself with some shopping you are going to find probably anything that you might want.

Ever wanted to visit the setting of the fairy tales written by the Brothers Grimm? Legend says they were inspired by Germany’s Black Forest (Schwarzwald)—the spectacular mountain range in Baden-Württemberg.

The Black Forest gets its name from the oppressive canopy of evergreens looming above the forest floor. Home to elaborate cuckoo clocks, striking half-timbered houses, ruined castles and quaint towns, the Black Forest is a magical land full of cultural traditions. Here’s our guide to some of the most beautiful spots in the area.

You will start the road trip from Frankfurt, which is a green, new and busy city with a lively soul. After having a walk in the old city center or having a stroll by the river Main, get ready and hop in your car! You have a 2-hours drive ahead of you.

Your first stop will be Stuttgart, new and vibrant city with an old city center. You can stop here to have some typical german delicacies such as Flammkuchen, a kind of pizza with cheese, potatoes and sausages. In Stuttgart, it is worth it to have a quick visit at the Public Library - it will most probably be one of the most beautiful libraries you will ever see. This modern complex building, always full of people and students, is famous worldwide for its unconventional and insta-friendly architecture.

Your next stop will be Lichtenstein Castle in Württemberg. Lichtenstein Castle is a historicist castle built in the 19th century. It is located at the edge of the Swabian Alps, 817 metres above sea level. Inspired by Wilhelm Hauff’s novel “Lichtenstein”, Count Wilhelm of Württemberg had it built in 1840-42. The site around the neo-Gothic castle is composed of other buildings from the 19th century, a chapel, an ample garden and the romantic courtyard. Built to pay homage to medieval times, Lichtenstein Castle is also known as “Württemberg´s fairytale castle” as it adheres to romanticism in style and furnishing.

If you enjoyed Lichtenstein Castle’s location, charm and vibes, you will be happy to know that this is not the first castle you will visit. As in a road trip is more the journey than the destination that counts, remember to stop and explore at your own likeness. Our advice is always to choose normal streets instead of highways, because they tend to be more characteristic. In this case, you will pass within the forest, between hills and lakes. And if you are hungry - you will most definitely find the perfect spot for a picnic sooner or later.

Your next step is another castle - Neuschwanstein Castle, which is probably one of the most famous castles in the world, known to be the “Disney Castle”. Seven weeks after the death of King Ludwig II in 1886, Neuschwanstein was opened to the public. The shy king had built the castle in order to withdraw from public life – now vast numbers of people came to view his private refuge. The setting of Neuschwanstein could not be more idyllic.

After leaving the castle make sure to take the Schwarzwaldochstrasse or "Black Forest High Road", which is a panoramic street in the Black Forest known for its incredible views and panoramas. It is the oldest and the most known panoramic drive in Germany, where you will be able to stop to take selfies, memories and enjoy the view at any time.

Your final stop will be in the French Strasbourg, which is a picturesque town extremely influenced by German culture and traditions. Having a stroll in Strasbourg will be the perfect end of your road trip, you can stop to have a romantic dinner, visit traditional boutiques or have an aperitif in a charming cafe.

Are you overwhelmed by information, places and choices when researching on what to do during your next getaway in Paris? This small travel guide will solve all your problems and make you live your best life in Paris - like a Parisian. If you love unconventional places and do not like the crowds of tourists that can overwhelm the French capital, you will LOVE this itinerary! On commence!

Day 1

We will start the first day in one of our favorite neighborhood - Le Marais. Here you will be able to have a croissant in one of the typical boulangeries and explore the artistic area with unique art galleries and boutiques. You can have a stroll in Place des Vosges before going to Montmartre, where you will have a lovely view of the city and you can wander around the small traditional rues. In Place du Tertre you can stop and have a crêpe with some cider or wine - this will be a perfect and characteristic lunch.

In the afternoon it’s time to move to the West of the city and arrive to the Foundation Louis Vuitton - you should take an Uber (or taxi) as it located in the border of the center of the city. Before going there, check out for temporary exhibitions and interesting events, as there are always plenty and the space is really interesting to visit. You can decide to have a walk after your visit in the nearby Jardin d’Acclimatation. After this cultural visit, it’s aperitif time!

The place to go for a drink and encounter Parisians during their happy hour is Saint-Germain-des-Prés: sit in any bistro and order a glass of wine. After a glass - or many! - it is time for dinner. Tonight we chose a fancy spot, as it is time to experience some Parisian glamour and sophistication. Alain Ducasse Au Plaza Athenée is therefore one of our top choices in the French capital. The dazzling and cool atmosphere will make you fall in love with the place and the cuisine will make you discover incredibly new flavors. If you are up for drinks, you can stay at Plaza Athenée, which has a unique cocktail bar.

You will end your day in your luxurious and comfy room at the Four Seasons George V, on which you will have a good night sleep to start at best the next day!

Day 2

This second and last day in the French capital will start with some shopping in Rue de Rivoli - here you can also stop at Angelina to have some breakfast with their incredibly tasty pastries. After a morning of shopping it is time for some lunch at Ralph’s Paris which has an incredible lovely garden in which you will be able to eat alfresco.

From there you can have a walk to the Musée Rodin, which has a huge collection of the French sculptor in a classical and lovely setting. The garden of the museum is also great to have a walk or have a coffee in the cute bar. From the museum you can have a walk to arrive to the most beautiful gardens in Paris - the Jardin de Luxembourg. This area is very lively all day long with many bistros and brasseries with typical food and drinks, perfect in case you want to grab a bite.

Our restaurant for the night is Le Train Bleu, a typical spot located in the hall of the Gare de Lyon railway station in Paris serving typical cuisine to a classy French crowd. The restaurant was designated a Monument Historique in 1972 as it was originally created for the Exposition Universelle.

Millions of people flock to the Marvelous City to reminisce the year that has been and celebrate the new year that has arrived. New Year’s Eve in Rio de Janeiro is one big orgasm of happiness, everyone is celebrating life and nobody celebrate as good as Brazilians! If you like a crowded celebration you should go to Copacabana beach, but do not complain about the crowds - more than 2 million people will be there! And remember your dress code is important: most Brazilian people will wear white during this celebration based on an old African tradition. However, every other color has a meaning, so do your homework before picking one: for example, yellow or gold is money, red is passion, pink is love, green is hope, blue is health and orange is energy.

Are you searching for inspiration for your next travel in Southeast Asia? At the same time are you sick of always hearing of the same countries and you would like to explore and adventure a bit more? Here a few ideas for you on three beautiful and underrated countries in one of the most fascinating part of the world!

1. Philippines 

When you will visit Philippines you will right away realize that you landed in paradise. This country is formed by an archipelagos of more than 7,000 islands, many of which are still undiscovered by international tourism and crowds. Philippines offers the incredible atmosphere that you would expect from a Southeast Asian country and much more: tropical vegetation, tuc-tuc everywhere, kind and helping people, unique beaches and turquoise water. Being formed by islands, almost everywhere you will go will be near or on the sea.

We recommend to spend some days in Manila after arrival or before leaving, as it is an incredibly interesting, eclectic and chaotic Asian metropolis, definitely worth it for a few days. Then you should directly fly to the tropical paradise that you are expecting. Starting off from Palawan we recommend to stay in El Nido for a week or so, where you will arrive in the perfect destination for island-hoppers. In Palawan also Puerto Princesa is worth a visit for its incredible natural reserve and subterranean river.

Afterwards we advise to fly to Cebu, where you should stay around Oslob and go swim with the whale sharks on your first day. Finally, you should take the boat to Bohol, which is right in front of Cebu, which will be a lively island with crowded beaches, bars and nightlife. It is also very diverse and has the world-wide famous Chocolate Hills that you should explore by renting a motorcycle.

2. Malaysia

Malaysia is one of the most vibrant countries in Southeast Asia as it has incredible islands and beaches and modern city life in its capital Kuala Lumpur. It is a very different and interesting country for the incredible coexistence of many cultures such as the Asian, European, Indian and Chinese. If you decide to visit Malaysia you should start off from Kuala Lumpur, as it has shopping district, colonial buildings to visit and very modern amenities: in this city you will breath the presence of many different cultural influences throughout the years, all of them coexisting and creating an incredible atmosphere.

As soon as you move to a more holiday location in its beaches or islands the atmosphere will have a more tropical vibe. Some islands worth visiting are Langkawi and Redang, both famous for their incredible white beaches and crystal clear waters. Also, the Perhentian Islands are a true heaven on heart.

3. Myanmar 

Myanmar is definitely one of the most hidden and underrated countries in Southeast Asia. Myanmar was coined the Golden Land for its rich cultural history and natural resources. A country that has endured several decades of rise-and-fall empires and military dictatorships, it is now a destination that opened up to tourism.

Your visit should start from a few days in Bagan, capital of Myanmar, which has hundreds of temples to visit by motorbike: you should start exploring the most known ones and then wander around as it is also an incredible way to spend the day. Here you can also organize a ride in an air balloon, especially during sunset time it will be a true unforgettable experience. The second stop should be Yangon - the commercial city of Myanmar - with the magical visit of Shwedagon Pagoda, which is a symbol of pride for the people of Myanmar.

Also, a trip to the Inle Lake is totally worth it. The lake is famous for its charm and scenarios. The Inle Lake region is one of Myanmar's most anticipated destinations, and all the hype is justified. Picture a vast, serene lake – 13.5 miles long and 7 miles wide – fringed by marshes and floating gardens, where stilt-house villages and Buddhist temples rise above the water, and Intha fisher folk propel their boats along via their unique technique of leg-rowing.
